How do I link Tasks and Mail? Print E-mail

Outlook is an integrated system which enables you to link Mail (email) with Calendar and Tasks  - and track it all through Journal.

How you can do this is all explained in the interactive learning presentation available through subscription.  In summary, in Outlook 2003:-

  1.  Highlight and copy the e-mail associated with a Task (Edit, Copy or Ctrl-C)
  2. Click to Task and double-click to open it
  3. Paste the e-mail into the notes section of the Task window (Edit, Paste or Ctrl-V)
  4. Go back to Mail and delete the original e-mail

In Outlook 2007:-

  1. Open the Task and click Insert, Attach Item
  2. Highlight the e-mail in the Inbox and click OK to attach as an item or as text
  3. Click on the Office button, Close and Yes to save changes
  4. Go back to Mail and delete the original e-mail
