How do I use Options for sending e-mails? Print E-mail

There are various options available when you send e-mails.  For example, your e-mail can expire after a certain time (when it's no longer relevant, e.g. concerning a particular meeting which is irrelevant once it's happened).  Or you can write an e-mail that will not be delivered until a certain time and/or date.

In Outlook 2003:-

  1. Write the e-mail and then click on Options, Options before pressing Send
  2.  Use Message Options as required.  For example, click in Expires after to place a tick, then on the drop-down Calendar and Time.
  3. Click OK and Send

In Outlook 2007:-

  1. Write the e-mail then click on Options, More Options (on right-hand side of ribbon)
  2. Choose Option required, such as Expires After, Calendar and Time
  3. Click OK and Send
