E-mail Training Course Content Print E-mail

The interactive training course takes between 30 and 45 minutes to complete, depending how much practice you do.  Repeat visits should be shorter as you learn more!

In the course you will learn:

  • First Aid to deal with an over- full Inbox by creating a separate overflow folder which you schedule time to go through systematically
  • how to turn off the new mail alerts so you decide when to check e-mails efficiently
  • to set up folders to organise and find e-mails, including how to set up and use a #Pending folder (and why use the # sign)
  • how to integrate Mail with Calendar and Tasks so that all you need is in one place for a meeting or a task
  • about Rules to automatically move e-mails to their correct folder and declutter the Inbox
  • how to use abbreviations in the subject line of e-mails so the recipient has a clear idea what sort of e-mail it is
  • to archive e-mails in a way that means you can find them again when necessary
